New master cylinder for Baer Brakes (12" Track)

I am purchasing front and rear brakes for 85 IROC. (12" Track from Baer.) I heard that I may need new master cylinder. Hell, I have brand new OEM cylinder thats only 2 months old. I think the OEM will work but I need to know.
Thanks

Was you car originally 4 wheel disk or disk/drum?I beleive this Baer system is really just an aftermarket version of the GM 1LE system,if your car was disk/drum your original master will work.Otherwise if yours was 4 wheel disk you may need a new master.Best advice I can give is to call and ask Baer to be 100% sure.I just upgrade to 1LE brakes on my Z(originally 4 wheel disk) and had to put a new master on it from a disk/drum car.

Yes it was 4 wheel disc, so what is the theory on why this one would not and the disc / drum setup will support it?

The early J65 disk brake set ups had smaller orifices in the master to limit pressure to the rear calipers, the disk/drum masters had larger orifices because the rear drums required more pressure than disk calipers. The later 89 and up rear disk calipers required more pressure than the earlier calipers,so GM used the J50 disk/drum masters and they worked perfectly.
