Re: Panhard bar questions???
if the Spohn bar (assume its a Spohn?) here is adjusted to the same length as the factory one inthe same pic, then the body is much shorter than what the bar would be with just rod ends, so it may not help with our question. But in the same breath, it looks like there is a lot of exposed thread off teh ends, is there adequite thread engagement left? not sure how long the threads are.

Re: Panhard bar questions???
I cant jack up my car right now, its packed away and needs to be on ramps to get the jack under it, but the UMI tube seems to be about 39.125 or 39.250 long, that just the tube part.
i was going to check the 92 for the stock length, but had a brain fart and forgot there is no panhard there anymore...silly me

Re: Panhard bar questions???
i woundt say that. Theirs puts a adjuster sleave on the driverside, so its adjusted from there, and they only offer poly bushings, not the best choice. spohn makes a couple bars like that and i would use theirs over edelbrock anyday. parts 104 106 107 here http://www.spohn.net/shop/1982-1992-.../Panhard-Bars/

Re: Panhard bar questions???
if you are just replacing it for the sake of it, any bar will do, the on car adjustablility is just a nice feature because it makes it easier to get the rear centered. If you are not trying to stuff really wide tires on the car, its not "needed".
I tend to stay away from any fabricated edelbrock part. they have a bad rap for breaking, and being overpriced.

Re: Panhard bar questions???
"single adjustable" is not on car, you have to unblt one side. And as was mentioned earlier, "single and double" adjustable are just marketing terms that umi uses.

Re: Panhard bar questions???
, the delrin ones cost a little more, but im really liking them anymore. Rods ends work, but after a while can get a bit noise if its a street car and they are exposed to wether, water, salt, dirt ect. I have a 10 or so rod ends on the back of my 92, just in the mumford/sway bar, they see a lot of rain a nd dirt (no snow) and so far they are not noisy, but only have about 4k miles on them. the panhard on my 86 again has rod ends, no noise yet either, but they also have little use.If you can swing it, i would go with the delrin setup over the rod end. If htey do wear, they can be simply tightened, but i believe you need a special wrench for that?

Re: Panhard bar questions???
Ok I'll Probley get the Delrin setup then. So to adjust these ones I won't have to take anything off to adjust it which will help a lot.

If the delrin inserts completely wear out they can be replaced for $4 per joint.

Re: Panhard bar questions???
This is the one I use on my car. On car adjustable with both types of ends.
Works great for the street.
