Shock Strut combo
I am redoing my suspension on my 88 TA w/ the WS6 package and I am deciding on the shocks and struts. Would the KYB AGX struts in the front and KYB Gas-a-Just in the back be good? what about any other suggestions? Also what size were the WS6 sway bar sizes?
Your question is too specific. Adjustable shocks of anykind would be the ticket for any racing. However spring selection is far more important than shock selection. Shocks only fine tune your suspension so as long as they are not dirt cheap you should be good.

I recently installed KYB shocks and struts on my '91 Camaro and have been disapointed with their performance. I have the gas-a-just on the rear and the GR-2 struts up front. I'm more disapointed with the front than I am with the rear.
After I installed the struts I noticed a clicking noise everytime I would hit the brakes. The origanal struts where fastened on top with a conacal shaped nut and the KYB's came with a standard lock nut. I also noticed when swaping struts that the original struts had less play inbetween the mount bearing and strut shaft as compared to the KYB who had more. Thinking this I went out and purchashed a pair of KYB mounts and still have the same problem.
I just put a set of Bilstein struts on order and should have them by tomorrow and on by Thursday. From what I've heard Bilstein are preferred more over KYB. I'll let you know how they stand up once I get them on.

I recently installed GR2's front and rear. I noticed the piston on the struts is way smaller than the stock struts. Also the hardware and bushings was not of very high quality so I snookered some GM bushings away from my local GM dealer. Actually I asked and they gave me some.

Wow, and I was going to replace my Monroe Sensatrac front struts with the GR-2's... now, I don't think I will. But what about those KYB AGX struts? (The AGX's are adjustable).

You probably could go with the AGX/Gas-a-just combo, but if cost isn't a factor, I would think you would want adjustability on all four corners. I just installed Eibach Pro-Kit springs and KYB AGX shocks and struts and it handles like a new car! The improvement is incredible! I love the way the springs changed the car's stance too. I can highly recommend this combo.
As far as your sway bar sizes.... WS6 front is 36mm and the rear is 24mm.
