questions about adjustiable shocks???

I am wanting a set of shocks that will be good for street performance (conering) and strait line traction dragracing on the track and street. Lets say I was to buy a set of adjustable shocks. Would I be able to adjust to a setting of 50/50 in the rear and 70/30 in the front on the weekends. Durring the weak I want to adjust to a vary firm setting for street performance.

Yes you can adjust them like you said. I'm not sure if you can adjust them all to exactly like 50/50 or 70/30 like you want though. But there are just different levels of settings. You will have to see what you like best. There are several companies out there that offer adjustable shocks. When I upgrade I'm going with some Tokico's, which are 5-way adjustables. I think Koni makes some too.

Be sure to ask alot of questions about the shocks your going to buy. Most adjustable shocks are only adjustable on one side. Most cases this is the rebound rate. A double adjustable allows you to adjust the rebound and compression strokes. Your classic 90/10 front drag shock has a loose rebound and a very hard compression stroke. As far as adjustability goes I don't believe there is alot of adjustment. Rear shocks have minor adjustment as the fronts have a wider range of adjustment. You may find a problem finding a shock that adjusts from 90/10 to 50/50.

What I am wanting is a shock that will go to something like 40/60 to a stiff firm rait in the back and something like a 60/40 that will adjust to a stiff rait to allow me to transfer weight when on the strip and will also allow me to adjust to a firm (tight) feal on the street.

If anyone has any suguestions as to what shocks might do this for me please make them known. I still have the stock WS6 shocks that came on my car in 89 they really need to be replaced.
