The swap should be a simple bolt-up (while you're doing it, install GM's or Global West's wonderbar). When I swapped to the 1LE version, hollow 36 mm front and solid 24 mm rear, I also used 1LE higher durometer bushings and poly end links. I don't push my old guy very hard, but I sure like the feel.

Get your "poor-man's calipers" out... that's an open-ended adjustable wrench. Snug it down on the center of each bar, and then measure it on a ruler, or "trace" the jaw width on a piece of paper. Take the paper or the ruler, along with the open-ended wrench, when you go to the junkyards.

I just went from 30mm front (solid)/18mm rear (solid) to a 36mm front (hollow)/23mm rear (solid) bars from a WS6 TA with poly endlinks and bushings. I also installed a wonderbar while I was at it. I've only driven the car for a few miles now and its not a night and day difference but it definitely helps. Stiffer springs will also help you plant the tires better because thats what the bar is really pushing against.

If you pull the bars out of an Iroc, the largest diameter front will probably be 34mm.
