Quick Question....say I have the steel IROC Space Saver Spare. I know that the 1LE Camaros came w/ the aluminum space saver (that not only weighs less but looks cooler). I just have the plain IROC inflatable space saver...will it clear the 1LE brakes if I ever need to change a flat?

 

I have no idea. I have the alum spare but haven't done the 1LE swap yet. If you're looking for one, I've seen a few of these aluminum spares on ebay and also in the classifieds for sale pretty cheap. Good luck.

I have posted pjotos of several different wheels on this board somewhere.All 15" alloy wheels that I have tried,have fitted my 1LE brakes just fine.BUT so far I have not found any 15" space saver spare tire that fits.They all hit the calipers front and rear. I am now looking for a 16" srace saver from any '98 F body to try.I think that one will clear the calipers.
If anyone lives near me,and has one of these tires .Let me know.I will come over,and we can try it on.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried the N64 alum space-saver? Should anyone be interested, I have a couple of these. Please see my add in the classified.
