88 9 bolt for 200 good deal or not?

I currently have a 90 RS with 273 gears and drum brakes. I found a 88 9 bolt with 3.45 gears limited slip, and disc brakes. Should I go for this or not. I can have anything off the car related to this swap for $200. Will I run into any major problems when swaping these 2 rear ends?

I'd say is was a pretty fair deal. The 3.45s seem hard to find. Apparently the '89 and later brakes were the good ones (PBR), but that shouldn't be a difficult upgrade if you find it necessary.

I'd do it, but I would look for a set of 89-up rear brakes to put on it even if those 88s work fine. You could always put them on later. I picked up an 89 9-bolt with 2.77s with the complete brake setup and I'l swap to 3.27s when I get to it.

The problem with putting early brakes on the '90 and up is you have to change the whole parking brake mechanism.
