I don't know about the ride, but in my experience Monroe is better by a noticeable margin than Gabriel.

Ok I'll get the monroe and everytime i look at my back shocks though as it's sitting in the garge it's getting lower and lower. I should really have it jacked up.

Re: Monroe or Gabrierl.

shocks have NOTHING to do with the ride height, they just control the springs movement

It depends on the shock and how bumpy the road is. Regular shocks aka heavy duty shocks only pull the car down. Gas shocks will cause the car to be higher on bumpy roads. After I drive my car when I get out it sits about 2" higher until the shocks bleed down.

To the topic.
Here is what I have on my car and to work great. I have a stock drivetrain. I don't have any problem with under or oversteer. I like the ride and when needed to holds to the road when cornering.

Re: Monroe or Gabrierl.

while i'd say monroe if left with those choices, I'd honestly recommend spending an extra $20 or so and get a pair of KYB gr2 or gas adjusts. very close to the price of the others and much better liked by all.

Re: Monroe or Gabrierl.

either will be better than what the vehicle had when it left the factory.

You can always spend more money and get upgraded performance units.
