how difficult is it to in stall a tilt steering wheel in a car that didn't have it before?

you will need to swap the entire steering colums, its a big job, but it can be done

Actually, it is not really that bad of a job. Some of the bolts are in truly rude positions though. Schedule an afternoon for the job, and start on the outside, disconnect under the hood first. Then move to the inside. If you have an automatic transmission, there is a cable that runs up to the column as well, watch out for that one. It can be fun........
