Can't seem to adjust rear Konis

So I picked up my 30-1265 Sport Koni rear shocks from Fedex a few minutes ago. Went to Koni's site where it shows how to adjust them. (No instructions came with the shocks)
Going from 0 click (start) and heading clockwise, I get 1 click and then it locks up. It won't keep going. The only way I can get it to go to the next click is to let the button come up (jiggle the rod a bit to get the button up), twist the rod a bit without the button pressed. And then press the button and turn. Then it clicks.
The trouble is that you can make it click about 8 times in a row in one direction doing this.
Where am I going wrong?

i believe you are supposed to compress them before you spin them.

I don't think you have to compress them. I didn't. You have to push the button in pretty far. I found it kinda tough to do with my finger. A 1/4" extension works well. Once you get it pushed in you should now be able to twist the shaft and you should feel 3 small clicks from full soft to full hard and vice/versa. Once you find the setting you want to use, slightly rotate the shaft in the opposite direction and the button should pop up.
If you still can't figure it out, I'll make a video tonight with my extra shock.

Re: Can't seem to adjust rear Konis
You guys are awesome.
I tried it again with the 1/4" extension sticking down into the hole. Much easier. I also used my Moog 5665 springs on the carpet with me sitting down as a way to keep the bottom of the shock from moving around anytime I tried twisting it. (Poor man's vice)
With the 1/4" extension in there, you don't feel the "clicks" as much as using a finger, but you do feel the small dividing marks while turning the shock. I think one of my problems last night, was that I would hit a wall and think that was the end. But it actually just took more twisting pressure to make it keep moving past the wall and to the point where you could feel it going to that next step.
I know. Hard to describe. But both are set in the full soft 0 click position now.
I'd heard that Koni ships these in the 0 position anyways. But being the new toys they are, I had to try out the adjustment. Adjusting them today, I definitely got the "it won't go any further" at the 0 mark and the 3 (full hard) mark.
