My 82 camaro has a problem, i was just wondering why the body is not sitting on the tires and theres a big space between the fender wells and tires??

Post a pic. It sounds like it is at stock ride height, the way it came from GM.

the body doesnt sit of the tires, there is a gap there. 3" or so is about stock, maybe even more, thats normal. If you want less, you need to lower the car using various methods.

I have between 3" and 4" on my car (depends on which wheel).. Measure the gap for us to let us know. Also, did you change your springs recently? If so there might be an issue there.

yea, the body should not "sit" on the tires. if this was the case you would blow through tires in a few miles and the car wouldnt even move. there has to be a gap...to allow for suspension travel when u hit a bump etc. not a gap like a monster truck, but a few inches.. as stated above

My body sits right at the tire top, but I never rub the inner fender nor the fender itself.
