I am looking into getting a globalwest traclink for my 82 firebird.
the parts store I deal with is having a hard time getting the one for 83-85 f-bodys.

my question is besides being auto or manual are there differences in the floor where the brace mounts through out the years?

the floors are all the same, but the transmissions changed, and may be shaped a little differently and possible have different trans mount locations. Im not sure exactly what the overall difference is between the 4 setups.

 

ya I figured the floors would be the same, I talked with there customer service it looks like the only difference is the way the front of the brace mounts to the body. I am gonna go with the 86-89 T5 one I might have to fab up a mount but thats no big deal.
