Shock & Strut Upgrade Help
I have a 84 Firebird S/E and I plan on getting some KYB shocks and struts. I don't know much about the suspension on these cars so I wanted to confirm a few things before I place my order.
1. Do the struts go on the front and the shocks on the rear?
2. Do I need any springs?
3. Do they ship with everything needed to do the swap?
4. Can a shock or strut go on either the right or left side or are they side specific?
5. Any thoughts on KYB?
You can probably tell I'm not mechanically inclined and I'll be getting someone else to do the install.

Re: Shock & Strut Upgrade Help
1) Yes
2) Optional. Can re-use the ones on there or buy new ones. I'd recommend new ones (about $60 front, $60 rear)....The rear ones fall out when you change the shocks anyways.
3) Yes.
4) Either side works.
5) The consensus is that KYB is better than stock but not high performance. Let's call it middle performance. A good value for what you get.
