Broken torque arm?
I know this is stupid to ask, but I didn't have time to look under the car after I got her home last night, and now I am at work contemplating. I was starting from a light and let out the clutch a bit fast and I heard a loud metal on metal grinding/clunk come from the rear of the car, followed by sloppy shift action into second and third. The metal on metal sound persisted for about 15 seconds as I was pulling over (sounded like something was dragging) but i didn't see anything hanging when I looked under the car in the dark. I started the car up again and was greeted with a ton of vibration through the driveline... I got in and drove her home, with very sloppy shift action persisting and a clunk from the rear of the car under to much load. I replaced my stock trans mount with a urethane mount about a month ago, so I figured the stock torque arm could be my weakest link?

Well if it is the rear end, it's a good time to upgrade anyway.

Just crawled out from under the car. The torque arm came unbolted from the tranny and lodged itself near my shift linkage! Hopefully once I pull it out it will just bolt right back on.
