Ball joints won't go into A-arm, now I'm stranded.

Okay guys, heres the situation:

I'm redoing the suspension on the car. I disassembled the front drivers side where only the spring the a-arm remains. Problem is the MOOG ball joints (Part # K64145T) won't go into the stock A-arms. My car will be on stilts until I fix this problem. I'm thinking I may just have to completely remove the arm, use an air hammer to get the ball joint in that way. What do you guys think? Has anyone come across this problem before? Any suggestions?

i assume you know they are pressed in? you usually need a press to install them, the c-clamp type balljoint install tools dont usually work well. Have a shop do it if you cant. if you try to rig something you may end up wrecking your a-arms.

are those by chance the over sized "problem solver" balljoints?

Um, yea they are the "Problem Solver" Ball joints. My car is at the hobby shop on base and they have all the equipment there. The ball joints are a bit bigger than I thought, but going through the board and looking online these are the correct ones.

No I was just replacing all of the old suspension parts. There was nothing wrong with it, kinda screwed myself doing that though.
