Spring Rate Program

I started developing a program to contain all f-body spring information known to this date. I used a table created by another user here, and being frustrated on the Microsoft excel dependency, I wanted to share this with you guys, as this is a program you can use online/offline with no dependencies other than using windows.

Tell me what you think so far, this is in it's very early beta stages, but do you have any suggestions thus far?

Thanks

Re: Spring Rate Program

That's good info to collect.

Just FYI, the same springs fit A/G bodies and maybe others (possibly S trucks?) so you might want to consider expanding to include those when you get the technical details ironed out.

I'd also suggest OpenDoc or GoogleDoc as a file format for distribution. Not as "full featured" as Excel perhaps, but entirely adequate for the purpose at hand.

Re: Spring Rate Program

Jeep XJ rear springs fit our rear axle perfectly. Tall for our application, but the size does fit & the height would work for those who are open to using cut springs.

IIRC, the stock spring rate was 170, according to Google research.....

Re: Spring Rate Program

Any other thoughts?
If I were to do, custom applications, I would make a separate tab for that than standard recommended parts, and they are risky to use.
