so, thanks to Dyno Don i got my BMR Outer Subframe Connectors in finally and i noticed this when i jacked the car up..pretty amazing how much they stiffen the chassis. gives a great jacking point too
check it out!

the whole drivers side was in the air just from jacking it up from the middle of the car because of the SFC's..this amazed me..dunno if its typical but yea theres that

Forgot to weld the pinch line to the SFCs? Fab some tabs and weld it all together w/ 2" stiches spreaded apart, that will stiffen it up even more.

the more impressive pic would be to have the jack stand up under the firewall and still have the rear wheel evenly off the ground.

Mine only scrape every now and then, it's really not that bad and we have a lot of speed bumps here, some are very high and short. Almost every street here has one or more speedbumps, it's insane

I'll have to do it! My friend keeps trying to talk me out of them saying it's not worth it unless you're running 400+ rwhp, I keep trying to tell him he doesn't understand thirdgen body flex. Figures, he drives an 05 GTO.

Yes these need to be welded to the pinch weld to make them waaay better.
Also these should be put on every thirdgen from V6s on up, esp TTOPcars..
Major improvement.
While going down the road in a stock car, you look out of your drside mirror and see the door/ quarterpanel dancing.. With subframe connectors that doesnt happen.. It also helps door hinge bushings live a long life..
once thats done then its time to attack all the pesky squeeks an rattles..

I like 'em! Those are real close to the old Spohn ones I have on my car except that the braces that go under the doors lie right alongside so they get welded without using any tabs. It'll stiffen things up even better when you weld 'em. You just need to stich weld about an inch in length every two inches along the bottom.
I noticed a difference in chassis stiffness immediately. My T-Tops used to creak every time I turned up my driveway...before the SFC's.

Anyway someone could post a pic of the weld between the pinch weld and the subframe connectors. I don't believe the shop that installed mine did this.

Pretty easy to tell. Look under your door (or GFX if you have them). You'll see the SFC...and the welds will be apparent..

Odd thing is, I'm not the biggest 'Bird fan - but something about those GTA's I love. It helps when you live in Southern Calif. too - nice to cars...

I should be installing my Spohn SFC's tomorrow or Thursday, I'll get some pinch seam weld pics for you guys. The Spohn connectors weigh 22lbs TOTAL according to my bathroom scale.

You can see my pinch welds here. Mw66nova(can see his car in the background on the left) did it for me, not me, but the car is mine.

Look at the side of the car, under the doors. The long flange along the length is welded to the SFC.
Here are my SFCs w small plates that I will use to weld the pinch welds to, they are stainless "standoffs" so that dirt and water can still get out from there.
