Chassis Straightening Help..
Hi All,
If any of you has seen my thread in the Convertibles section then you will know that I am trying to repair my 91 Z/28 'Vert.
The left hand chassis leg is bent a little and needs straightening. I have a shop with a chassis jig but can't work out how to brace the car on the jig.
Is pulling the chassis straight dangerous due to the unibody structure?
Any general advice for chassis straightening?

If I can't straighten it, can i use the chassis from a coupe that I also have to rebuild my Vert?
Thanks all in advance

What do you mean by brace the car on the jig?
Most of the frame racks have clamps that they clamp on to the pinch welds to hold the car in place for pulling, on a side note did you have your car measured with a tram to see what was exactly was off on your chassis?

Thanks for that. I did search and found nothing. Can i ask what terms you used?
As far as I know they haven't measured as yet.
I will print that pic and see if they can do that.

Re: Chassis Straightening Help..
I just typed "frame rack clamp" look on the web under "frame rack accessories" They have a frame rack they should have everything there if they plan to pull, if not then something is VERY wrong! i would take it some where else if they cant figure out how to keep the car from moving i doubt they are even going to get your chassis measurements correct...
I will print that pic and see if they can do that.
