Big Block springs
I need to upgrade my suspension but I am having a hard time finding HEAVY duty springs for an 1982 camaro. Seems like all I can find is lowering springs.

Re: Big Block springs
With my BBC, I ran stock Z28 springs for the longest time and even used V6 springs for a while. I now use Moroso trick springs.
Can't offer any more suggestions without a lot more information. Start with how much weight is sitting on the front tires. Is this a daily driver, corner carver, drag race setup?
The springs only need to hold the car up to ride height. A stiffer spring rate won't compress as easily such as Z28 or WS6 springs so the car can handle corners better however they will also give a much stiffer ride. A soft spring rate will give a very smooth ride but can't handle the performance driving.
How much the springs compress depends on how much weight is applied to them and how old they are. Just because you have a BBC, doesn't mean you need a heavy spring. A standard stock replacement spring from your local auto parts store will probably do fine. See if there's a performance spring listing. Springs from 82-92 and 2.5L to 5.7L Z28 will all fit. Your 82's springs are probably worn out.

Re: Big Block springs
It is just my street/cruiser car...I am not positive on the front weight. I know my springs are worn and need to be replaced. Thanks for the help
