Where is it safe to jack an 83' TransAm
Im having and issure with where to jack my T/A up. I have very little clearance so i cant jack from the K-mount and I need to get the whole vehical up on stands for a full exhaust job. Ive been told on the Daytona's that there are special spots to jack up but i dont have the panel in the rear that lists the locations. Does anyone else know them?

i used to jack it up at the k member but since i lowered my car i cannot do that anymore instead i had to buy a small jack to jack it up at the side of the car where my sfc's are.. i jacked it up just enough to where i can get the big jack under the k member to lift it up... since you dont have sfc i dont where if you can do the same thing..

What if you used one of those low-profile jacks would that work for a lowered car uner the K?

You can use the center of the a-arm to get t up high enough to put a jackstand/block of wood under the tire or something sturdy, long enough to reposition the jack to the k-member.
Or just the stock jacking location behind the front tire. A floor jack will make that pinch weld location fold over but it is plenty strong enough to still use. And not many 3rd gens left that don't have that point folded by using a floor jack right there.

Yea. I never saw any spots folded in like that ironicly. I made the mistake of jacking by the radiator mount but i only bent it a little. I wanted to avoid buying a low profile jack, but if i have to i guess i have to. Thank you all for the help. Much appreciated.
