Hey btbb. Can you install the fitting smoothly with your fingers (i.e. is it crossthreaded at all)? Is it the stock steering box?

That o-ring size is pretty critical both for proper sealing. The first time you tried a new o-ring was it automotive specific for that exact application?

Re: power steering leak wont stop

hey thanks for the reply.

thankfully i got the problem sorted later on today. after trying a number o orings even 2 at a time i found the problem. there was a small crack around the end of the pipe under the pipe fitting. quick solder and job done. going to order a new pipe. dont think it will last for ever.

thanks again
