Looking for a specific ride height
Looking for a specific ride height
Hey everyone - following up to my thread from the other day, I'm looking to replace the springs on my 88 GTA. Right now the floor-to-fender lip height is approx 27+" in the front and just above 26" in the back. Between the two, I like the lowered (26" look).
Can anyone tell me what NEW Springs / Coils I can purchase (without cutting them) that would give me a floor-to-fender lip ride height of 26" for all four wheels? All of the specs I'm finding on 'pound ratings' is confusing me. And I would prefer NOT to have to replace anything else (i.e. no shocks, struts, etc.). It's just more than I can afford right now.
I've spent the last hour using a ton of different keyword searches trying to find my answer and couldn't. So forgive me if this question is answered elsewhere. Thanks.

there are too many variables, so there is no way to tell you what spring will put the car where you want it without trimming springs, or using adjustable perches like a coilover setup or weight jacks.

Eibach Sportlines.
You're already an inch lower in the front and two inches lower in the rear. The sportlines are advertised as a 1.6" drop in the front. But everybody gets a different value.
They're pricy for only needing to change the front springs. And I would never buy Sportlines. They're for looks, not for performance. Rough ride. And will kill your struts/shocks much faster than stock height.
