Cutting Camaro Springs Safe Or Not?

Cutting Camaro Springs Safe Or Not?

so i have a SC and it rides pretty high compared to the iroc & the rs and the prices ive seen on lowering springs are pretty high and i heard you can cut them so is it safe any pros and cons? thanks

I cut a full coil off my front and rears. I left the rear isolators in but the front ones were toast.

I cut them with a band saw.

I'm on my phone so I can't post pics here. But, I have pics in my vert build thread in the body forum.

I love how it looks, but I'm going to remove the rear isolators.

its safe and common. Trick is to try to not add a lot of heat into the spring, so cut with a cut off wheel, hack saw, recip saw, band saw ect. Dont use a torch

on the front cut half a coil first and try it.i cut a full coil and had to replace the springs because the front end was dragging on everything.
