help,suspension,wheels,fittment,springrate
ok,im about to go nuts here, i have an 86 t/a, i want lowered some,i have a set of eibach pro kit,,i hate to install coil springs,so i bought a spohn coil over kit, wich ended up p costing me 800$ , but now i'm told i cant fit mu 9.5 c6 wheels with coil overs,,, now i see some posts about ground control weight jacks! would that be the best option? geez ,i d like to use something i have here, coilovers seemed like a good idea at first, but i see so many negative comments on em,that i dont feel like using them anymore,,,does the weight jacks lower the car as well? what spring rate would i need to ask for with that kit? i have tpi, with aluminum heads and starter, water pump ect on front,so slightly lighter than stock, but not that much...this is a street car.no drag

weight jacks allow you to set the ride at however you like it. they weight a little more than coilovers but you can run bigger tires up front with jacks. i'd recommended them, they have worked great for me so far.

Just as easy to install, but can require a little extra time to adjust them to your liking. Mine, all 4 corners, took 3 hours. That was with a couple of sjort trips around the block for the struts/shocks to settle to measure the actual resulting ride height to compare the car side to side.

I would never run a coilover set up on the front of our cars. It's true that they limit how wide of a wheel you can run because you now have the addition width of the spring around the strut. In addition to that, you would need to reinforce the strut towers to cope with the load that's beig placed on them.
I have Ground Control weight jacks on my car with 800lb springs up front and 200lb springs in the rear. Perfect for my use of the car but a little stiff for some. Most people will run closer to 700-750 front and 150-175 rear.

You should be able.to.run your 9.5 wheels, you may just have to use thicker spacers and sit the wheels out a little further. That said, I still feel coilovers on the front is not ideal for cars that are not drag orientated.
