Toque arm removal

Hey everyone I'm looking to remove the stock torque arm to replace the stock rubber bushing with a poly one from hawks. I was looking over on what I have to remove to take the arm out in a Haynes manual an it's saying I have to remove the rear coil springs to avoid front axle diff twist is this true I'm not unbolting the lca's or the shocks. Will the springs fly out if I remove tq arm ???
