SFC and 4" exhaust
I have a dual 3" pipe going into a single 4" pipe for my exhaust
Does anyone have an exhaust system like this? if so, how did you get your SFC in there?
I have a UMI set of SFC waiting to go in

Re: SFC and 4" exhaust
Whats your concern? The triangulated piece that ties in the tranny subframe area to the outter SFC piece?
If you put the connector in the right spot, tucked up high against the floor pan, you can run the 4" under

This pic shows my exhaust hanging much lower than it really did but theres room for sfc's. I ran the Spohn pieces.

Now this is my dual setup but you can kinda see where the small support brace ties in teh SFC to the tranny at the top of the pic. Tucked up high where the stock cat converter would go. Thats a big hump in the pan so you can use that for your room

My 3" to 4" min Y pipe merge was in this same spot as the X pipe

My concern is that the small peice doesnt fit in there without hitting the pipe.
Can I just not install that small SFC piece?

Depends on how big that piece is and how far up the 4" pipe sits against the body/floor, it may or may not hit.
You can delete that piece and it will be fine. Just wont be "as" stiff as a triangulated sub frame setup. Still better than no sub frames at all.

I got my UMI SFC welded in.
I didn't weld in that small piece over top the exhaust on the passenger side.
The car is stiffer now with the SFC
