Re: help with front suspension rebuild

What parts in particular are you referring to? The only other parts that need pressing are the a-arm bushings. All other stuff is bolted up. Just make sure you use the correct torque specs.

Re: help with front suspension rebuild

Just did mine. LMK if you still need the info I have an 88 Firebird service manual with the info. Note the tie rod clamps have to be pinched tight in a certain way with the clamp openings away from the sleeve openings. Compare to what you took off.

Since the pitman arm is a non-wear item, there's no need to replace it--unless, of course, it's been damaged. Aside from a bone yard, you probably couldn't lay hands on one anyway.

Hey guys this link has the 88 Firebird manual that has the torque info and lots more!

Link still seems to work if not LMK.

torque specs: Got them from the Haynes Manual. I have them memorized as I just came out of the garage finishing mine up..

Center Link to Inner tie Rod End 50 ft lbs.
Spindle to Outer Tie Rod End 35 ft lbs
Center Link to Inner Tie Rod End 50 ft lbs... per Moog
