I just had my struts and mounts replaced, but my mechanic says can cant get the old caps to work on these new KYB mounts. He said he could try to glue them on, but he wanted me to check first to see if I could find new caps that fit. He showed me how they pop into the old mounts perfectly, but they just won't go in these new ones.


Anybody else run into this problem?

 

The caps won't fit the new-style mounts. You might try search as someone recently had the same issue.

Thanks. I sure hate to cut them but it looks my only option.
