J&M strut mount question
Anyone using these have an issue with the alignment? I had my alignment done yesterday after installing UMI A-arms and my mechanic stated he had an issue with the left side when adjusting the camber. Apparently the brake master cylinder is in the way and he couldn't move the strut mount exactly where he needed to in order to get the right camber setting because of the size of the mount. Or is it the A-arms causing the issue?

Re: J&M strut mount question
How much camber are you running?
I have seen various mounts hit the master in some cars and not in others. For .instance I have 3/4" more clearance to the master from the strut tower in my 86 than my 92. No idea why, but I did. I ended up making a small thin shim for the lower 2 booster to firewall studs to angle the whole assembly up a tad more.
Could be other issues as well, link a bent spindle possibly.
Are these the new or old .style UMI arms? I have 2 sets of the first style and .both cars had no issues with alignment. Fwiw, the mounts are not even close to the master.

Re: J&M strut mount question
I'm sure he put the alignment to factory specs cause I didn't ask for anything special and they're the origional style arms.....didn't think about a bent spindle......car drives straight though
