Tiger style cage

I did some search but actually found no helpfull info. I want to get tiger style weld in rollcage that is fully welded, not parts bolted all together like this one below, it looks like toy

Does anybody know where to get one for 3gen or will i have to make it on my own ?

Best regards

Re: Tiger style cage

i highly doubt that someone makes that for thirdgen, and why is there no cross bar? i don't think you are going to pass any nhra tech with that roll bar anyway, you could simplify it alot, looks like overkill to me

Re: Tiger style cage

i don't care about NHRA as i'm in Europe not States, also it gives more safety and looks in the same time so will work for me in my country

Re: Tiger style cage

Tryb calling that company and see what they offer?

And there is a crossbar, it just sitting low in the pic. Seems to have harness or seat mounts too.

Re: Tiger style cage

That's a very crappy location for harness mounts, can you spell spine compression.

What a r!cer cage, no triangulation no nothing...it's just added weight

If it provided proper safety, something like that would be allowed in sanctioning bodies, not just NHRA. Personally, it doesn't look like it provides enough rollover protection.

The purpose of a roll bar/cage is to protect the driver in case of an accident. Trying to make it comfortable in the car by changing the location of proven mounting points defeats the purpose of the roll bar.

The harness mounts need to be roughly shoulder height to hold you back in the seat. Having them go over your shoulder then down towards the floor only keeps you from lifting out of the seat. It won't stop your torso from moving forward.

Even if that roll bar was welded together, it looks more cosmetic than functional. Just like those cheap, thin, bolt in roll bars available for pickup trucks. They were fancy light bars and offered no rollover protection.

Re: Tiger style cage

my 3inch harness is already mounted according to FIA regulations so i even do not need to change that, my thoughts were that this can work properly when welded, if not then i'll have to make something according to FIA regulations too, thanks for the input

best regards
