alignment ,front suspension reassembly,help
hi,there, i totally tore appart my 86 t/a for rebuild, a few years ago,now im putting it back together, i dont have a clue of the original location of my strut-to-spindle bolting, or where my strut mounts
originally sat, but nothing is stock so... i have ground control weight jacks, with their eibach supplied springs, umi lower control arms, kyb struts, stock mounts,,now, this is all back on the car,but where the hell do i set all this stuff for alignment? do i just tight it where it wants to sit for now until i get it aligned? i gotta ride on the new springs to fully set them into place before i get it aligned right? then im gonna have to revise the setting of my weight jacks for desired height,, can i put my sway bar on now? and how do i know where to locate the strut mounts,, i remember that they were originally bolted pretty inward but thats about it, and there is also room for play on the strut to spindle right? then the steering arms are all new as well with billet tie rod sleeves, where do i start?

put it all together, you can fudge an alignment. Set both strut mounts to about the center of the adjustment range, both direction, set toe as close to 0 as you can. The springs will not take long to settle, drive it up and down the road, or even the driveway if its long enough and thats good enough.
Spindles to strut mounts have a little slop, i usually put it together loose, push the top of the spindle inboard, then tighten all the bolts.
put the sway bar on, or dont. it wont matter for alignment.
Then get an aligment.
