+1 on wheel bearings. The previous owner had just put Moog bearings on, but didn't top them off with grease. When I got above 85MPH the shaking was pretty bad.

As far as vibrations from the powertrain, yeah mine did that at exactly 1800rpm, even in neutral. Turned out to be a bad torque converter. My transmission rebuild solved that problem though.

Wheel bearings DO make noise when they are bad. It's just hard to hear them in our cars when you are going 80MPH and all you can hear is wind noise, road noise, and exhaust.
