Hello all,

I have an 87' IROC-Z28. Everything right now is stock except for the headers/exhaust, and a shift kit...Both were already done when I bought her back in April 2012. This is basically a project for me and my pops. We are looking to make this our toy, the body is excellent, however everything else is basically going to be swapped out. We will be running a 383 Stroker, prob in the range of 550 to 625hp... we havent decided on the tranny or rear yet, but we are looking to tackle the suspension right now...

I was looking for some opinions on what we should do in terms of what products, and to what extent we should go, given that we will be in the 550hp and prob around 450 to 475lbs torque.

What manufacturers , what key parts I must use, etc...

Any feedback is greatly appreciated!!!

Hey Lou. Do you have access to Facebook? If so, search UMI Performance and take a look at our new '85. Our marketing manager owns it. Its very similar to what you describe.

And yes, subframe connectors are a good building block.
