Good rear coil springs

Car: 1988 Gta trans am
Engine: LR4 4.8
Transmission: 98-02 t56 6 speed
Axle/Gears: Bw 9 bolt (3.70’s) pbr rotors
Good rear coil springs

Im looking to replace the rear coil springs since my rear end is getting rebuilt looks the springs i have in now have been in since 1988 i was wonderig what are the best stock ride height springs. An also do i have to use the rubber spring pad or can i just put the new springs in with out it

Can i just wrap heater hose through the coil spring an give it rubber support it will also lower the car a little bit

I wouldn't wrap it "through" it; it works to wrap it around the end coils though.

Yea thats what meant just wrap it through the bottom coils where it meets the top of the frame rail, an the rear end mounts

No, don't wrap it "through" anything. Wrap it around the wire the coil is made of.

Imagine it as being a coating. Slit it down one side or slide it over the end. (depending on what size of hose you use)

Ahhh alright i know what u mean now slit the hose then slide it over the bottom of the coils so its not metal on metal when installed in the car
