this is not my car, i just found the picture when looking up parts..

Those are for sale on ebay.

Also at least one member here runs them from a name brand company back in the day.

I don't like them either.

IIRC, that was J&M's first design. It's no longer manufactured.

They'd be a lot better if the installer had used larger diameter spacers, on both the top and the bottom, so that the load was spread onto the sheet metal better... but other than that, there's nothing inherently wrong with the principle.

STG, never did come up with the picture but he did post of the strut tower bending down around them because of the way they are mounted. The load was not spread out correctly. IIRC

The reason I hate them is water is going to flood under them.

esc has been using those on his car for about 15 years now. If he can't break them, they're unbreakable.
