Need Simple Effective Street/Strip Suspension suggestions.
Bought a 85 base camaro with 16k original miles on it that had a carpet flood. Its a near perfect car on the exterior and the interior is mint. It is a 2.8mpfi V6 car with an automatic. I have decided to drop in a AFR headed 383/TH350 combo i have on hand. The engine should produce about 500-520hp and will be backed by the th350 with a 3500 stall converter. The only things i know i want to do to the car at the moment suspension wise is add spohn subframe connectors, remove front sway bar, and i plan to widen the factory rear 14" wheels to 8" and run Hoosier 26x 9.50-14LT tires to maintain somewhat of a stock sleeper look. I will probably elect to change the rear end to a Ford 9 inch unit but i am not sure what gears to go with for that tire size and estimated horse power. All other options are still to be determined and i am hoping for some advice as the 3rd gen is a whole new animal to me. One question i have is about retaining the V6 springs in the car or not.
Anyhow here are a couple pics of the car to go along with the questions. Thanks

I had great luck with prokit eibachs and adjustable shocks, lower control arms and relocation brackets, basically bolt on suspension mods.
With stiffer springs it rides and handles awesome on street, just have to reset shocks to moderately stiff. At the strip i set front shocks to soft and rear to medium. Works awesome with a good tire

Eiback prokit spring is a model of spring. They offer 2-3 types i think. It lowers car about 1.5" or so. If you dont want that then get new replacement v8 iroc springs and it should handle well and still do great at the strip
