What parts should I get from TA for my Camaro?
Hi guys I haven't been active on here for a few years now, but I'm finally ready to start upgrading my 1989 Camaro RS for street/ strip duty. I'm a 60 year old geezer who remembers the old days when I had such a blast hotrodding my rides and now want to relive some of those great times before I "kick the bucket" ! I"ll definitely need some info from you younger and brighter guys if you don't mind helping an old fart! Ha!
I have access to a 1986 TransAm that was a v8 tpi equipped performance car. I haven't found any special designation badges on the outside, but the dash had a "performance suspension" badge on it. I snatched a Borg Warner 9 bolt posi with disc brakes out of it. I got the master cylinder and proportioning valve along with a hollow front sway bar and brackets (about 1.25 inch diameter bar). I got the rear sway bar also- maybe a 1 inch bar. I had the rear coil springs and upper rubber insulators but lost them in a mixup (damn, it makes me sick that I lost them). That's all I have pulled so far. The tpi setup is gone and the honeycomb wheels, but besides what I got a couple of days ago everythjing else was still there. What I need to know is what other parts, brackets, braces, etc. should I try to get for my car before the TA gets picked clean? Do I need the torque arm? Are there any engine parts that I should get? ANY and ALL help will help me out since I don't know much at all about what performance parts I can use might be in my reach. Problem is I'll have to hurry because I'll have lots of competition. Please excuse the LONG post but I needed to get my plea for help out ASAP. Thanks again, Mike

Another item I might be interested in on this trans am is the steering box- that is if it is a quick ratio unit. How can I tell whether this is a quick ratio steering box on the car or not? Thankx
