Stock ones are something in the 160 range.

We all know they're a bit .... weeeeeeek.

OTOH, if the rate is TOO high, then it pretty much acts like it has no suspension at all.

Alot depends on the intended use of the car.

You have not provided enough info for anyone to give an educated opinion.

What is your rear weight?

What shocks?

What are you running in the front?

Front weight?

Springs are just there to hold the car up, the shocks should control the body movement, etc. Need F/R weights and spring installed height to be of any use.

No, they both control body movement. The shocks only function is to damp the free oscillation of the springs.

If you put a car on a smooth road and perform a steady state turn you will have just as much body movement (roll) with the car complete as you would if you took the shocks out. They are only functional during transient maneuvers.

Re: spring rate... some one help me

i was not able to putt the car of chassis scales , the were not available when i needed them. the shocks are custom made, i have to only set ever made... i got together with a buddy of mine that works for a shock company and we sat with the engineer and designed and built them, im still making the front upper and lower mounts, it took about a year to get them done. we still need to track them and tune them. when they are done i will post pictures. i just took a shot in the dark and based it off of whe the qa1 kit uses, so i just started on the lower end of there options as far as handeling and figure ill go from there.
