Im trying to find the source of a slight clunk coming from the front left of my 85 Z28. I think it might be coming from the steering box. If I grab the input shaft I can move it radially about 0.005", is that normal, or should it be completely tight? There is no play in the steering, Im just wondering if the bearing is worn. Thanks

 

After farther investigation I'm pretty sure it's actually the strut mount
