lowering springs

I have summit racing lowering springs installed but they never lowered my car. Someone was telling me its because there springs are thicker in the coils compared to oem which makes it stiffer and wont compress as much. Is this true?

Re: lowering springs

Depending on how worn out your old springs were, it may not have changed your ride height.

Re: lowering springs

I installed Eibach Pro Kit springs in my car with little to no ride height change. Car had at least 129k on what looked like the factory springs.
