Re: founders camber caster plates

Im currently running them on my camaro and absolutely love them
They are better then the rubber bushing stock set up it came with. .
I road race and autocross with the founder plates and they have held up plenty well to the abuse i have given them

Re: founders camber caster plates

I dropped my car out of the air, and they held up. So I'd say the are made with thick enough material.

Got'em, like'em. That said, I couldn't run the OE dust covers with them.

Re: founders camber caster plates

Yeah not worried about the dust covers.I'd have to take them off to adjust my new struts any way. That being said it sounds like the are a good solid product and I shall give them a try.

Re: founders camber caster plates

IIRC, J&M Products/Hotpart.com CC plates and Founders CC plates housings are made by the same third party. Recently Founders upgraded the bearing material. For this reason and the lower price of Founders, I would buy the Founders.

A couple years ago I bought J&M Products and they work great. No issues. I definitely put it to them in autoX and they hold up without issues. I always tighten them with a torque wrench when changing from street to track set up and vice versa.

Re: founders camber caster plates

I am in the process of installing these along with new struts. I came across a hiccup in the install as it turned out by accident they sent me the wrong hardware kit. I called them late last night, left a voicemail message and received a return call today. The correct hardware is on its way to me. The overall quality of the kit appears to be good. I overhauled the rear suspension this past summer and used a bunch of their parts and am very happy with them.

I'm also thinking about buying these. I'm keeping my car stock rubber where I can, so I wonder, if these aren't rubber anymore, will there be an impact like more stiffness as other than rubber bushings can cause in LCAs or sway bar bushings and end-links?

There is no rubber with these mounts. Just installed these recently and had the car aligned yesterday. The ride is fine. What's nice is that with the center bearing plate bolted to the caster/camber plate using the first (2) screws, your caster is automatically @ 4.5 degrees (permitting the structure of the car has been not altered). This said, only item left to manipulate is the camber angle.

I recommend them. Build quality is very good.

No rubber? Hm... it's just... @Blackmamba mentioned "...they are better than the rubber bushing stock setup it came with...". So I thought that the OEM ones had rubber somewhere... ??

They do. No rubber in the after market versions that I'm aware of.

Don't worry about it. The solid bearing mount of the Founders plates does replace the stock GM rubber bushing setup. But the increased stiffness of the solid bearing just means that your struts take more of the road's bumps, rather than most of the road's bumps. You want this.

As long as your struts aren't worn out, you'll have no problem. This is what gives them the crisper suspension movement.
