Steerimg column question

Car: 1988 Gta trans am
Engine: LR4 4.8
Transmission: 98-02 t56 6 speed
Axle/Gears: Bw 9 bolt (3.70’s) pbr rotors
Steerimg column question

Ok i got a steering column from a camaro and i noticed that the bottom portion on the steerinf column is tucked up more in then my firebird one is there a way to slide it down or do i have to go on the hunt and find another column

the sleeve that bolts to the firewall?

i think it just slides to wherever it needs to be.

Yea the thing is it is frozen and doesnt want to move how do i get it unfrozen
