...to fit in the grease gun for a 92 WS6? Can't find anything concrete online, and need to know what size to get. I'm sure mine all need to be greased. I'm guessing 1/4", but not sure.

You're talking about the end that the grease gun goes onto right? 12 yrs GM mechanic, I've only only ever seen one size, even on heavy equipment, and every grease gun I've ever had just comes with the right fitting.
No, I'm taking about what should go in the end of the gun to adapt to the fittings on the car and make them work. I have a gun with threads in the tip, and sime fittings I see are threaded to screw into the gun. Is that how it works? Or is every gun a generic size that fits all grease fittings? I had assumed different cars had different sizes, and that a different tip had to be screwed into the gun to make them work together. I know this makes me sound like an idiot, but with all the work I've done on my car, I've never greased the suspension/steering components, so to be honest I wasn't totally sure how it worked--as dumb as that sounds. My issue is, it looks like the tip of the gun is bigger than it should be. If I put the gun in the car's grease fittings, what keeps the grease from just squirting out all over the outside without depressing the check ball so the grease can get inside where it needs to be? Holy, crap, I sound like a teenage girl.....LOL I can rebuild a rear end, but can't grease a ball joint..... I think I need to take a much closer look at that grease gun to be honest, I think that's where I've gone off base.

The piece that goes on the end of the gun is universal. Like mean, I've only ever seen ONE size. (apart from the "needle" attachment that you use for those little flat ones... which is just an adapter that you just plug onto the universal one anyway)
No zerk fittings are threaded to fit a grease gun. The coupler on the gun just sorta clips onto the zerk. As long as it's held nearly straight, it seals pretty good; not a whole lotta grease leaks out.

I have the 1142, and also the hose that makes it a 1147 if I want that. (seems like I bought the hose as an accessory but it's been like 30 yrs so memory kinda fades) I use the hose most of the time. Note that on this page, there aren't even any different coupler ends shown for it. That's how "universal" they are.
Go ahead and give it a try, you'll be surprised how easy it is to use that gun.
