Car does not sit level..?

Hi guys,

I have noticed from behind my '86 IROC it does not sit level. The passenger side appears to sit lower than the driver's side. From the front it looks level so it makes me think is the right rear causing this.

If anyone has experienced this what would you suggest I look at as a possible cause?

Thanks!

Hard to tell from the pic but it tilts to the right. Not severe but not right either..?

Re: Car does not sit level..?

What shape are the shocks/struts and springs in? I had the same issue with my GTA, but on both ends! Replaced the stock suspension stuff with new aftermarket items and the issue has taken car of itself mostly. The rear is still slightly off. I attribute this remaining "unlevelness" to chassis flex.

If it just happened and you didn't make any new mods. I'd be looking at shocks and springs. If you can't tell visually, you can swap the shocks and springs to the other side, if it leans left you have your answer.

I could seriously not help but look at your tail lights...they don't match. I'm OCD--I know.

As far as your leaning problem, all the springs have rubber cushions they sit on. Possibly some of them have deteriorated over the years? The only way I know to really check those are to take out your springs, either front or rear.
