HELP!!! I just put on rear pads and now my rear brakes dont work!!!!
I replaced the rear brake pads on my 83 Trans Am and even while the back end is up in the air, I cant stop the wheels from spinning no matter how hard i push the pedal. They slow a little bit, but they dont quite stop. I replaced the master cylinder too cause it was leaking a little bit. I even bled the brakes at all 4 corners twice! I cant figure it out. How do you adjust them up? I ratcheted the e-brake up over 100 times thinking that might do it, but it didnt. BTW, emergency brake is tightened correctly. The pedal does feel a little spongy though. What could be doing this? Please help me as this is my only method of transportation and I dont feel very safe driving with just front brakes. Thanks in advance.

If you have rear disc brakes, have you checked to see if the rear calipers are working? That is, are the caliper cylinders not frozen due to rust? I found out my '88 IROC's rear calipers were rusted and had to replace them.

Well, the emergency brake works, so I'm assuming the calipers arent frozen. The rear brakes worked before I replaced the pads. Anyway, any other ideas??? Thanks.
