so on my 89 Camaro a while back I put in new springs(moog) and shocks(KYB) all around. After the install I started hearing a squeak coming from the left rear shock which I narrowed down to the rod at the top of the strut that goes through the body rubbing up against the body, so as it goes up and down it creates a very annoying and rather constant squeaking sound.


Figured maybe during the install I some how messed up the alignment in the rear, but after putting UMI rear control arms and panhard bar and seeing my alignment is still spot on it is still making the sound....


Anyone have any idea as to what is messed up here? This noise is driving me insane, I thought the other body rattles were bad, I could live with the rest of it compared to.

 

Try some lube on the bushings
