Will Eibach Sportlines be to low for a 92 Z28 with 20" wheels?

Hello all, I currently have a 92 Z28 with 20" wheels. The car looked like it sat a little high so I put a set of Eibach Pro-kits on it a month ago and it still sits to high for my taste. I wish I would've got the 18's instead of the 20's so now Im stuck for now. Will the Eibach sportines be to low for a 3rd Gen with 20's? Maybe my OCD is kicking in but with the Pro-kits it looks like it sits to high, Im hoping Sportlines would do the trick but I don't want to over do it.

Why don't you go with weight jacks and dial it in exactly where you want?

What are weight jacks, are you talking about coilovers? I'll check them out? Do you think the Sportlines will be too low?

Best thing to do is feel around your wheel with your current setup. If you are already really close then no it probably will rub quite a bit especially when turning or at full lock.

^^^ You pick your spring rate (rather than being stuck with Pro Kit or Sportline's rates)

I'll second the weight jacks. 20" wheels and Sportlines sounds like a Fred Flintstone riding car. Too firm for my tastes. But to each their own. With the weight jacks you can pick a better spring rate and raise/lower your height whenever you want. Need to raise it to get over hills and entrances? Raise it up. Want to lower it for looks? Go ahead.

Here are the spring rates for the Eibach options. Note that the Sportlines actually have less spring rate than the Pro Kit. The Sportlines are purposely designed to use the bump stops rather than avoiding them like most suspension setups.

Pro Kit: 714 lb/in linear front 1 inch lower front
109/177 lb/in progressive rear 1 inch lower rear

Sportline: 700 lb/in linear front 1.6 inch lower front
80/137 lb/in progressive rear 1.3 inch lower rear



The bottom line is that Sportline = looks and not performance. The Pro Kit = performance, but not looks. The Weight Jacks = better performance and any look you want.
