Auto to manual......

I'm putting in a T56 to replace my 700r4. My buddies and I can do the tranny swap, but we're all worried about putting in the pedals and hydrolic line. My question is: Can I have the pedal assembly put in along with the master/slave cylinder and resovuor, while keeping my auto in thier? Obviously, the clutch's hydrolic cable won't be hooked up at that time. But will the brake assembly work? I'll need to drive it from the mechanic's to the garage.

Yes. I swapped the pedals in on one weekend and the T5 the following weekend. I am assuming you are using a new GM master/slave cylinder unit. Keep the plastic tethers in place that prevents the slave unit from moving. Don't hook up the push rod to the clutch pedal until you have the rest in place so you don't accidentally push it in. Good luck, Lon.
