Okay, my 1985 Z28 Camaro has 56,900 original miles and I am near positive that the struts and stocks are oem. The remainder of the suspension is 100% original as well. This is not a race car and harsh rides are definitely not wanted.

All that said, does anyone have a US manufactured strut and shock recommendation?

Just put kyb agx on the rear of mine and so far I am happy. I had gabriels on it so it's hard not to be hah. Putting the agx struts on soon.

 

I can order you up some AGX's at cost. They are adjustable for ride quality/dampening. I have a set on my 86 and they are excellent.

There are no US manufacturers of this stuff anymore that I know of.
