Cutting front wheel wells

I just curious as to how far has some cut the front wheel wells back to the struts without having to brace it with tubing?

Re: Cutting front wheel wells

I wouldn't cut the wheel well arches unless you were putting in a cage. I would also look into fabricating a bar to reconnect your core support. Are you even running a front bumper? Without that core support connecting the front (and a bumper) you're asking the K-member and Wonder Bar (you at least have a wonder bar, right?) to do a lot more than they were designed for. Especially for a car that's pushing probably 600 hp(?) to the wheels.

I agree, the entire wheel arch is support for the strut/spring, also the upper rad support is also part of the structure of the cAR and should not have been cut without something in its place, that's asking for the strut towers to colapse in a turn
